A mid-tier business school offering MBA/PGDM programs focused on banking, finance, and insurance (BFSI) sectors, catering to students aiming for roles in corporate banking, fintech, NBFCs, and financial services
A finance-focused B-school struggled to maintain average CTC levels due to inconsistent student quality and limited communication and behavioral competencies, which impacted interview success. Students lacked awareness of BFSI domains, industry trends, and role expectations, making it difficult to stand out in competitive hiring processes. Cracking high-CTC or niche finance roles remained a challenge, especially when competing with Tier-1 campuses.
We deployed a tailored Placement Excellence Framework combining psychometric assessments and discovery interviews to align student strengths with career goals. Communication labs and BFSI-specific mock interviews built confidence and articulation, while industry sessions enhanced awareness of financial trends, regulations, and emerging banking roles.
The intervention led to 95% placements in Phase 1 of campus hiring, marking a significant improvement over the previous years. Select students received offers from top BFSI recruiters at twice the batch’s average CTC, reflecting stronger alignment with premium roles. The program also drove greater career clarity through structured mentorship and goal-setting tools, while students demonstrated higher confidence, sharper self-positioning, and improved alignment with recruiter expectations.
